Nigus International and AXISCADES Technologies Limited have expanded their partnership to create a world-class aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and training hub in Nigeria. The development is positioned to transform national aviation capability, improve efficiency across both commercial and defence fleets, and significantly reduce ongoing reliance on overseas maintenance services.
The integrated MRO platform will unite AXISCADES’ global engineering expertise with Nigus International’s established operational footprint across Nigeria and several neighbouring African markets. The facility will support reduced operational costs, minimise maintenance downtime, improve aviation resilience and foster long-term skills development in both civilian and military aviation sectors.
The partnership will also incorporate advanced simulation environments for pilot training, enabling support for the varied aircraft platforms in use by the Nigerian Armed Forces. Additionally, the initiative will expand into the development and production of locally built drones, supported by Nigus International’s government licensing and regulatory approvals. These unmanned systems will serve defence, industrial inspection, and surveillance applications.
Both organisations will draw on their joint base in the United Arab Emirates for project coordination, global manufacturer engagement, and streamlined oversight to accelerate implementation.
