Its fourth edition will bring ICFE, short for International Carpet and Flooring Expo, back to İstanbul Expo Center, with doors open January 6 to 9, 2027. Organisers expect more than 500 exhibitors and roughly 35,000 industry professionals from over 150 countries, giving cross-border trade and cooperation new openings.
Istanbul, Türkiye: Running January 6 to 9, 2027, The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 will be held in the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM). Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is organising the fair, with backing from two bodies: Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
The event will pair Türkiye’s worldwide standing in carpet making with international commerce, drawing manufacturers, importers and wholesalers to Istanbul together with chain stores, architects and interior designers.
Where the world’s carpet trade meets
For exhibitors, the fair offers routes into new markets, export connections and worldwide partnerships, while showing buyers from abroad what Türkiye offers in manufacturing capacity, design expertise and an advantageous geographic position.
ICFE 2027 is expected to host more than 500 exhibitors and attract roughly 35,000 visitors from over 150 countries.
Professional buyers are expected from leading markets for carpets and floor coverings, among them Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Central Asian countries, giving exhibitors scope to form new commercial relationships throughout the fair.
Istanbul’s position as a trade advantage
Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Istanbul has well-developed transport and logistics infrastructure that strengthens ICFE’s appeal to an international audience.
Thanks to the city’s extensive direct flight network, reaching the fair is easy for professionals worldwide, and exhibitors can access many markets from a single location.
Customs change to encourage overseas exhibitors

The Directorate General of Customs, part of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, has introduced an important regulation to support the exhibition and attract more international participants. Under Türkiye’s customs legislation, the temporary customs duty on products brought in by international exhibitors was previously set at 100% of their FOB (Free on Board) value, and exclusively for ICFE 2027 it has been cut to 10%.
Adopted after close collaboration between public authorities and industry representatives, the measure is expected to ease the financial burden substantially for overseas companies exhibiting high-value products. It is also expected that more countries will send exhibitors and that the international trade volume generated at the show will grow.
Design and knowledge sharing in focus
Alongside trading on the show floor, ICFE 2027 will host a series of events aimed at fostering sector development, innovation and knowledge exchange.
Carpet Talks, which attracted strong interest at earlier editions, returns with leading industry figures discussing design, production, branding and how the sector is transforming.
Original carpet designs will reach an international audience through the Carpet Design Awards, where innovative work is showcased before industry professionals. At the Carpet Workshop, designers from different countries will collaborate on production, offering visitors a special concept and a source of inspiration.
Connecting professionals through business
ICFE 2027 will serve as a trading platform where manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals can uncover new business opportunities.
Attendees will be able to meet new suppliers, follow the latest sector trends, hold B2B meetings and expand their international business networks during the fair.
The previous edition welcomed 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries, and with ICFE 2027 the aim is to grow participation, raise the fair’s international profile and strengthen its place as one of the leading carpet and flooring events worldwide.
