Plastics fair in Istanbul sets sights on European buyers for 35th anniversary edition

This December in Istanbul, Tüyap plays host to Plast Eurasia for its 35th edition. Machinery for plastics, raw materials and production technologies will be gathered under one roof, while organisers intensify their professional visitor campaigns across major European markets in the run-up to the opening.

İstanbul – Staged in Istanbul at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, Plast Eurasia runs from 2-5 December 2026. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is the organiser, working in cooperation with PAGEV and supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade. Purchasing professionals, distributors, raw material producers, technology providers and manufacturers will come together at the show to build commercial links across the plastics sector.

“For 35 years, Plast Eurasia supports the growth and development of the industry by bringing companies and professionals together and helping turn those connections into commercial relationships,” according to İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager at Tüyap Fairs Production Inc. “This year, we want to carry that experience forward by creating focused opportunities for buyers, suppliers and technology companies to meet around the needs of today’s plastics industry.”

Campaign to attract European visitors picks up speed

With roughly 3 months still to run before the doors open, 90% of the exhibition space has already been booked. Organisers anticipate 80,000 visitors from Türkiye and abroad, and their professional visitor campaign concentrates on Germany, Belgium, Greece, Romania, France, Italy and Poland, together with markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

Industry professionals travelling from Europe will find machinery suppliers, materials producers and other plastics companies assembled in one exhibition setting in Istanbul this December. Fresh commercial contacts are the aim of the international visitor programme, which also assists firms in deepening the trading relationships they already hold.

Equipment, materials and manufacturing technology share billing

Two central pillars of the exhibition will be plastic production machinery together with raw materials and chemicals. Machinery solutions and next-generation production technologies feature as well, with value-added production, innovation and efficiency among the themes that shape the commercial agenda.

Such breadth of product scope means technical professionals and buyers can assess equipment, materials and production methods within a single trip, while exhibitors introduce new products, technologies and sector solutions to an audience drawn from many countries.

Anniversary activities chart 35 years of sector change

A Milestones Map forms part of the 35th-anniversary programme, presenting, in chronological form, landmark stages from the fair’s past alongside developments within the plastics industry. An exhibition of historic plastics production machinery will additionally demonstrate how manufacturing technologies have shifted over the decades.

Plaques will be handed over at the opening ceremony to Kontel Elektronik, Enformak Plastik Teknolojileri and Almak Ateş Makine, three companies present throughout the fair’s 35-year journey, in recognition of their long-standing involvement.

Exhibitors taking part in The Stage is Yours! programme are allocated 30-minute presentation slots, using them to share success stories, industry solutions, technologies and value-added products with visitors.

Guided access awaits hosted buyers

Navigating the exhibitors and product groups that matter most becomes more efficient for international purchasing delegations under the Hosted Buyer Guided Tour programme. Buyers taking part are offered routes with guides, calls at the demo and event areas, admission to the Hosted Buyer Lounge and dedicated support services.

As Official Airline of Plast Eurasia, Turkish Airlines will apply reduced fares on qualifying return international flights into Istanbul, for travel between 25 November and 12 December 2026, cutting Economy Class prices by 10% and Business Class prices by 15%.
