HURGHADA, Egypt: A standout night for high-end hospitality saw Rixos Hotels Egypt collect seven honours at the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony 2026, staged on 28 August 2026 in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Two of the trophies pointed squarely at the group’s most exclusive product: its private villas and premium suite collections along the Red Sea coast.
The tally underlines how Rixos Hotels Egypt has built its reputation around spacious, service-led stays rather than volume alone, with signature villa addresses in Sharm El Sheikh and premium suites-and-villas resorts in Hurghada anchoring the portfolio. Alexandria, meanwhile, contributed a heritage win that widened the group’s reach beyond its beach heartland.
Among the seven wins, the accolade for Egypt’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa placed the group’s most private accommodation front and centre, recognising an intimate villa concept set within a members-style enclave in Sharm El Sheikh. A second premium address in Hurghada took top billing in both the beach resort and overall resort categories, reinforcing the appeal of larger suites and villas for guests seeking room to unwind.
