At Cersaie 2026, VitrA Tiles presented The Code concept and its latest innovations to industry professionals, drawing on its Material Intelligence approach.
Bologna, Italy: VitrA Tiles took part in Cersaie 2026, the international exhibition dedicated to ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings, held in Bologna, Italy from 21 to 25 September, and welcomed architects, designers, customers and industry professionals to its stand. Shaping its presence around the Material Intelligence concept, VitrA Tiles displayed its 2027 collections and innovations.
“Every material has a code. Material Intelligence deciphers it.” This idea drives the way VitrA Tiles designs: the brand reinterprets materials found in nature by combining research, advanced technology and design expertise. Building on what nature offers both aesthetically and technically, VitrA Tiles turns these materials into original surfaces that open up fresh sources of inspiration for contemporary architecture.

Speaking Three Languages of Design
The Code concept draws on three design languages to shape the Resincode, Geocode and Metacode collections, which Cersaie visitors can explore at the VitrA Tiles booth.
Resincode takes its cue from the porous, mineral-rich feel of natural concrete, pairing natural transitions with layered surface effects to give contemporary interiors a minimalist, balanced and refined look. Geocode looks to limestone, marble, quartzite and gneiss from Spain, reinterpreting the varied geological heritage of natural stone on ceramic surfaces in a contemporary way across four distinct surface typologies: Alba, Imperio, Rio and Merano. Metacode comes in gold, iron and copper tones across three distinct surfaces, carrying the subtle tonal shifts and soft reflections of patinated metal onto ceramic surfaces and blending industrial character with refined aesthetics.

The Latest Technologies
Alongside the new collections, VitrA Tiles also presented its V-Flex and V-Tone innovations at Cersaie 2026.
Running on Ceraloc® locking technology from Välinge, V-Flex lets installers lay tiles without any adhesive. Special side profiles allow the tiles to bond mechanically, so the system promises installation up to five times faster than conventional bonded tiling. It helps fitters align tiles precisely, keep grout lines even and achieve a clean, professional finish. When needed, fitters can lift out and replace individual tiles, which greatly simplifies maintenance and repair. The system also improves acoustic comfort. VitrA Tiles recommends V-Flex for offices, hotels, showrooms, retail stores and store chains, educational facilities and commercial spaces.

V-Tone tackles tonal variation in ceramic manufacturing, keeping colour consistent and preserving design integrity from one surface to the next. VitrA Tiles continues to integrate V-Tone technology into its production lines.
